2007 ZigZag

ZIGZAG // Steelcase Inc. // Role: Concept Creator, Patent Holder
ZigZag began as a personal project which was absorbed into the product development of Media:Scapes. Initially, the problem that fascinated me was to create linear seating that accommodated a variety of postures, and productive relative postures to other people. Also, I was interested in exploring a variety of planning possibilities with a small kit of parts.
2007 Studio Table

STUDIO TABLE // Steelcase Inc. // Role: Lead Designer, Patent Holder
Created for the Asian market, this table was designed to address power and data distribution in an image-driven environment. The patented beam construction allows a span of up to 14' without intermediate support. Although the table is available with a number of surface options, the structure was designed to look beautiful through a glass top.

Shortly before I left Steelcase, IDEO took over the project's development in early 2007.

LEAP CHAIR V2 // Steelcase Inc. // Role: Designer, Patent Holder
Leap V2 was a face-lift given to Steelcase's highest volume chair in order to extend the product's life. When I joined the project, most of the dirty work was done. I did, however, get to design the arm and work out some details on the base and back shape.
